The ATX® Weight Plate Pins 50mm can be attached to the uprights of all racks and RIGs that have the corresponding mounting holes with a diameter of 21 mm. The diameter of the receiving uprights must be at least 6 cm and a maximum of 8 cm.
The depicted rack and weight plates are not included in the scope of delivery!
For 30 mm weight plates, there are also suitable Weight Plate Pins.
For storing a 125 kg ATX® polyurethane 4-grip disc set, we recommend a minimum of four Weight Plate Pins, that is two pairs.
With a disc thickness of approximately 3–4 cm, multiple discs can be placed on one pin depending on the weight grade. With four pins, the complete set can generally be stored space-efficiently and sensibly on the Power Rack.
However, if three pairs or six Weight Plate Pins can be mounted on the rack, we recommend this option. This allows each weight class to be stored on its own pin. This ensures particularly clear storage and enables quick access to the barbell discs you need.
How many 15 kg weight plates fit on the ATX® Weight Plate Pins 50 mm depends fundamentally on the thickness of the weight plates being used. The pins have a usable loading length of approximately 32.5 cm.
With standard rubber-coated 15 kg weight plates with a thickness of for example approximately 3.5 cm, up to 9 plates per pin can be accommodated.
15 kg bumper plates are typically considerably wider due to their construction. With a thickness of for example approximately 6–7 cm, only about 5 plates per pin will fit accordingly.
The actual number should therefore always be calculated based on the respective plate thickness.
