The ATX® Hex Bar 30mm Compact - Open is a very compact and heavy-duty hex bar with an open entry. The open entry allows for quick handling and offers a wide range of motion for various exercises such as shrugs, bent-over rows, squats, and lunges. All load-bearing parts are fully welded or bolted, ensuring exceptional strength.
The Hex Bar 30mm Compact - Open is also available with a 50mm mount .

The ATX® Hex Bar Compact Open is designed so that the two weight plate sleeves are located laterally on a shared axis, distributing the load evenly to both sides. With symmetrical loading, the center of gravity is positioned in the grip area, allowing the bar to be controlled in a balanced manner during exercise.
The open side can generally be oriented both forward and backward. If the opening faces backward, the Hex Bar will not automatically tip backward with correct grip technique and even loading. However, due to its open construction, it can tilt more easily than a fully closed trap bar, particularly if the bar is loaded unevenly, held outside the center of the grip, or set down uncontrollably.
We therefore recommend always loading identical weights on both sides, gripping the bar at the center, and lifting and lowering it in a controlled manner. This keeps weight distribution stable and prevents unintended tipping.
